135 Days No Smokes

135 days smoke free. Completed Zyban and have stopped using nicotine mouth spray. So no Nicotene at all for quite a while now. Craving still. It can't be chemical anymore so I suppose it's just a sort of weird sentimentality like longing for an old dog that died years ago. They do pass but these emotional cravings for a smoke are worse than the chemical ones. I'll report back in a few months. Cheers all.

Cheers to your 135 smoke free milestone Andrew666. In reading your history I read a comment that I had missed and found interesting. I have mentioned in the past that we miss those dopamine hits that we experienced when smoking and ways to replace these hits with new ones by doing things we enjoy, eating chocolate, smelling lavendar etc. Sal recommended sucking on Vitamin C or a drop of lemon juice on the tongue to produce dopamine. While searching to read more I did find on the 10 Best Ways to Raise Dopamine Levels Naturally, so I thought it might help you and others to learn more.

Sorry, but for some reason this writes a little of what I found but does not take you to the article itself. That said, dopamine affects your mood and being happy about our decision to quit smoking and to forge ahead is made easier with positive thinking. Learning how to replace this "Good Feeling" may help overall.
